Sebagian kita mungkin jarang memperhatikan tipe file sistem yang digunakan Flashdisk kita, apakah itu NTFS, FAT32 atau FAT. Untuk mengetahui file sistem yang digunakan, klik kanan Flashdisk di Windows Explorer dan pilih Properties. Di sana terlihat tipe File System yang digunakan.
Tetapi ketika kita akan mencoba mem-format melalui windows Explorer, mungkin disana tidak ada menu NTFS, adanya hanya FAT32 dan FAT. Bagaimana cara mem-format NTFS dan apa bedanya dengan FAT32 dan juga FAT ?
Mengapa NTFS ?
NTFS merupakan format file system Windows terbaru setelah FAT32, dan mempunyai beberapa kelebihan seperti kemampuan menyimpan tambahan informasi mengenai file/folder (metadata), fitur keamanan, kompresi data, struktur yang lebih baik dan lainnya.
Selain itu, tipe NTFS bisa digunakan untuk mem-format ukuran yang lebih besar, Untuk FAT hanya 2 GB, FAT32 8 TB ( 8.000 GB), sedangkan NTFS bisa sampai 16 EB ( 16 juta TB ). Meskipun demikian, tetap saja NTFS ada kekurangannya, seperti tidak terbaca di Win9x dan proses baca tulis ke disk yang lebih sering.
Karena tiap file/folder menyimpan informasi yang lebih banyak (metadata), maka proses baca tulis tiap file/folder akan lebih sering daripada tipe FAT32 atau FAT, sehingga untuk flashdisk, mempengaruhi umur (daya tahan). Mengaktifkan format NTFS di Windows Explorer
Bisa saja kita mem-format USB Flashdisk dengan tipe NTFS dengan bantuan HP USB Format Tools. Tetapi sebenarnya Windows Explorer bisa melakukannya. Untuk mengaktifkannya bisa diikuti langkah berikut :
1. Buka System Properties dengan cara Klik kanan My Computer > Properties (atau dengan tombol Keyboard Win + Break )
2. Buka tab Hardware kemudian klik tombol Device Manager
3. Pilih Disk Drive dan pilih Flashdisk yang ingin di format dengan NTFS, klik kanan, pilih Properties.
4. Setelah terbuka pilih Tab Policies
5. Pilih Optimize for performance dan klik OK
6. Setelah itu coba klik kanan Drive flashdisk di windows Explorer dan pilih menu Format, maka disana seharusnya sudah muncul File System NTFS.
Yang perlu diperhatikan adalah ketika opsi ini diaktifkan, setiap mencabut flashdisk harus selalu melalui Safety Remove Hardware. Jika pilihan adalah “Optimize for quick removal” maka sebenarnya flashdisk bisa langsung dilepas, tanpa Safety Remove hardware
Test antara NTFS, FAT32 dan FAT
Saya telah mencoba beberapa perbandingan (terutama proses meng-copy data) dengan tipe yang berbeda-beda, dan hasilnya sebagai berikut :
* Copy 11 file (ukuran masing-masing sekitar 170 MB) total sekitar 1.8 GB
NTFS 04:44 ( 4 menit 46 detik )
FAT32 05:09 ( 5 menit 9 detik)
FAT 04:46 ( 4 menit 46 detik)
* Copy 1.297 files (ukuran antara 1 KB sampai 23 KB) dengan total 8,23 MB
NTFS 29 detik
FAT32 56 detik
FAT 58 detik
* Kapasitas setelah di Format
NTFS 2.038.044.672 bytes Used space 12.937.216 bytes (12.3 MB)
FAT32 2.046.959.616 bytes Used space 4.096 bytes (4.00 KB)
FAT 2.050.686.976 bytes Used Space 0 bytes
Terlihat proses copy data dengan NTFS, relatif lebih cepat, tetapi ukuran setelah di format sedikit lebih kecil karena memang diperlukan space tambahan yang lebih besar untuk informasi file/folder (metadata). Jika flashdisk sering digunakan untuk proses baca tulis dan tidak begitu memerlukan fitur-fitur NTFS, seperti keamanan data, maka memilih tipe FAT32 mungkin akan lebih baik.

Cara me-repair (memperbaiki) Installasi Windows XP
Ada kalanya pengguna komputer mengalami masalah dengan Windows atau sistemnya. Terkadang muncul masalah serius yang menyebabkan komputer tidak bisa booting atau file-file sistem windows rusak akibat virus. Jika ini terjadi biasanya ada dua pilihan: Install Ulang atau Repair Installasi Windows.
Kali ini akan dibahas bagaimana cara me-repair ( memperbaiki) installasi Windows Xp.
Teknik Repair ini memiliki keunggulan seperti data-data yang ada di sistem masih tetap utuh ( program-program yang terinstall di komputer juga masih tetap). Dan hal itu juga akan mempersingkat waktu, karena jika install ulang maka program yang ada termasuk driver harus di install ulang lagi. Jika program yang ada sangat banyak, maka akan menghabiskan waktu cukup lama.
Tetapi meskipun demikian, Install ulang Windows biasanya akan lebih “segar” bagi komputer kita, apalagi jika sebelumnya drive di format dulu, sehingga windows benar-benar seperti bayi yang baru lahir.. :)
Kesalahan yang sering terjadi ketika ingin me repair Installasi Windows XP adalah ketika muncul pilihan / menu installasi pertama kali, kita memilih Repair Using Recovery Console, sehingga yang tampil adalah aplikasi/window Command Prompt. Memang fitur ini bisa digunakan untuk memperbaiki beberapa error, tetapi yang kita inginkan adalah memperbaiki keseluruhan file-file sistem windows XP bukan dengan command prompt.
Langkah-langkah me-repair Installasi Windows XP
1. Sebelumnya menjalankan langkah dibawah, pastikan BIOS komputer di set agar urutan booting pertama kali adalah CDROM dan catat Serial Number Windows XP.
2. Masukkan CD Intallasi Windows XP, kemudian restart (reboot) komputer.
3. Ketika muncul tulisan “Press any key to boot from CD“, tekan sembarang tombol di keyboard.
4. Windows Setup akan melanjutkan dengan me-load file-file yang diperlukan dari CD.
5. Setelah itu akan tampil “Welcome to Setup“, maka tekan ENTER (pilihan pertama).
6. Setelah itu akan tampil Windows XP Licensing Agreement“
7. Tekan tombol F8 ( I Agree ) untuk melanjutkan
8. Windows Setup akan mencari apakah sudah ada Installasi Windows XP.
9. Jika sudah ada Installasi Windows XP, maka akan ditampilkan dalam daftar. Jika tidak ada, maka tidak akan bisa me-repair Installasi Windows XP ( harus install ulang) Jangan diteruskan jika belum tahu.
10. Setelah ditemukan, maka dipilih (select) Windows XP yang di inginkan dan tekan tombol R untuk me-repair Installas windows XP tersebut.
11. Tunggu sampai selesai sampai komputer minta restart.
12. Setelah restart, dan muncul menu Press any key to boot from CD maka jangan tekan tombol apapun. Ikuti kelanjutan proses repair sampai selesai.
Setelah selesai dan komputer restart, maka Installasi windows XP sudah berhasil di perbaiki, dan program/aplikasi yang sudah ada, driver hardware dan data akan tetap ada dan berjalan normal, tanpa perlu di install lagi. Kecuali aplikasi yang mengubah file sistem windows seperti Vista Transformation Pack dan sejenisnya. Kalau menggunakan aplikasi seperti ini maka perlu di install ulang(ebsoft.web.id).
Menghapus (Unlock) File/folder dengan LockHunter dan Unlocker
Sering kita jumpai ada file/folder yang susah sekali di hapus, copy, rename atau ketika ingin dipindah. Hal itu biasanya terjadi karena file/folder di kunci (lock) oleh aplikasi lain, sehingga operasi-operasi tersebut tidak bisa dijalankan. Misalnya virus, malware dan lainnya.
Jika mengalamai masalah tersebut, kita bisa menggunakan Software gratis Unlocker dan juga LockHunter.
UnLocker
Untuk Unlocker, mungkin sebagian sudah mengetahuinya, mengingat software ini cukup populer, dan pernah saya bahas sebelumnya salah satu manfaat Unlocker untuk download video dari youtube .
Dengan program gratis yang hanya berukuran sekitar 256 KB ini, kita membuka file yang terkunci, dan operasi hapus (delete), rename, copy atau move biasanya bisa kita lakukan.
Untuk menjalankannya tinggal download Unlocker dan Install di komputer. Setelah selesai maka ketika kita klik kanan file/folder, akan ada menu tambahan, namanya “Unlocker”. Jika dipilih, maka akan muncul dialog Unlocker. Yang selanjutnya bisa kita pilih operasi yang diinginkan.
Ketika file tersebut di kunci aplikasi lain, kita bisa membuka kunci dan mencoba rename, delete atau memindah file/folder tersebut. Unlocker dapat berjalan di Windows 2000 / XP / 2003 / Vista. Download Unlocker
LockHunter
Fungsi utama LockHunter ini adalah melihat aplikasi apa yang sedang mengunci sebuah file/folder. Ketika sudah ditemukan, maka kita bisa memilih operasi antara menghapus atau melepas kunci tersebut (Unlock), yang selanjutnya bisa di copy, rename, pindah dan lainnya.
Seperti halnya Uncloker, setelah aplikasi ini di install, ketika klik kanan file/folder akan ada tambahan menu What is locking this file ?.
Ketika kita klik menu tersebut, akan ditampilkan menu unlock seperti berikut :

* Fitur Unlock, delete, copy, rename file yang di kunci
* Mematikan (kill) proses penguncian file
* Menghilangkan fitur penguncian dari hard disk.

* FIle yang dihapus masuk ke Recycle Bin, sehingga masih bisa di restore jka salah menghapus.
* Mendukung Windows 32bit dan 64bit.

Tambahan
Dua program gratis diatas bisa juga bermanfaat ketika kita ingin menghapus virus, malware dan sejenisnya. Meskipun tidak menjamin 100%, beberapa malware/virus yang tidak bisa dihapus dengan cara biasa, biasanya bisa diatasi dengan software Unlocker seperti ini. Termasuk juga ketika USB Flashdisk tidak mau/susah di eject (safety remove hardware), maka bisa dicoba di unlock dengan software ini.

Get away from police:
To get away from any cop during a pursuit, drive into the showroom parking lot. Park in the corner where the wall is located. The cops will circle but not find you. Wait until your meter reaches "Evaded" and you will be all clear.

Choose the 2002 Toyota Celica at the beginning of the game. You can sup this car up well and it handles great. You can finish more then half of the races in your first car. If you are low on money, go to the Sanctioned Desert event races and race the first series a few times. They are quick races and one of the easiest. If you lose, you will not lose any money.
How to format Nokia 6600

RESETTING PHONE BY NOKIA SECRET CODES (steps 1 and 2)
1st step : SOFT RESETTING NOKIA 6600
A Soft-reset is the process of resetting all the settings of the phone to the factory default! No applications are deleted.
Take backups of ur phone books,calender and others, then simply enter the code *#7780#
It will ask for "Restore all phone settings-phone'll restart…."
Then it asks for security code enter ur security code whose default value is 12345 then the phone is resetted after restart.The phone will be restored to the time when you purchased the phone.Default apps are not deleted.
2nd step : HARD RESETTING BY CODE
A Hard-reset is like formatting a memory disk. Itâ formats the phone memory. Everything that has been installed other than default apps at d time of purchase are deleted.The phone's setting will be restored to the time when you purchased the phone.Default apps are not deleted.
Just enter the code *#7370#
Then it asks for security code enter ur security code whose deafault value is 12345 ….then proceed as in previous step…..
NOTE:
The battery must be full or the charger has to be connected to the phone so that it does not run out of power and make the phone unusable.
Take backup of the contacts and other important data in MMC .
FLASHING
3rd step :'FLASHING 6600' : ANOTHER METHOD FOR HARD FULL FORMATTING
If any of the above methods failed to make your phone formatted then try this step-mainly try this step if the problems are following-blank screen phone unable to boot, phone is only able to boot-up to Nokia screen ,unable to uninstall any installed software, unable to delete certain files on C drive(phone memory).This step is known as flashing of phone. Always do this step at last (after 1st 2 steps are over and u are not successfull) as these problems might be solved by resetting using codes.
To format the (restore factory settings) phone here is a way .
1. Make sure you phone is fully charged. (At minimum 3/4 of bettery should be left)
2. Backup your contacts list and personal files to MMC memory card (if possible).
3. Switch-off your 6600 phone.
4. Press and hold these three keys together -Green dial key,-Star key (*)-Three key (3) then press the power on/off to swtich on the 6600 phone. Do not let go the three keys until you see the formatting screen displayed
5. After a few minutes, the format will be complete. Your 6600 will now be at its original factory settings (It will reach the same state as that in when you purchased it). All inbuilt applications provided by nokia will not be deleted)
